Prince Louis had a short cameo in Prince George’s video and royal fans were delighted. On Wednesday, July 22, Kensington Palace released a video of Prince George to mark his 13th birthday. In the footage, George could be seen enjoying himself at a beach in Cornwall.
The behind-the-scenes video montage showed the prince, who turned 13 on Wednesday, clambering over the rocks barefoot with his younger brother Prince Louis, playing cricket on the sand, and waving and smiling at the camera as he sports the sunglasses he wore to Wimbledon. It was filmed during the family’s Easter holiday in the South West, and was accompanied by a message on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s social media reading: “Thank you for all the birthday wishes for George today!”
The prince was also seen enjoying a boat ride and stroking one of the Waleses’ dogs as it lay in the sand in the 18-second film.
Royal fans loved Louis’ short cameo and took to social media to express their jubilation.
One user wrote on X: “What an adorable clip of Prince George and his little brother, Prince Louis, during a family holiday to Cornwall earlier this year.”
Another one said: “Prince Louis really does look up to his big brother. Just two boys living their best life!”
A third one commented: “It’s so wonderful to see them happy and enjoying life…with some normality.”
A fourth one chimed: “Prince Louis is adorable with his brother."
Others opined that Louis may not have been old enough yet to climb the rocks alongside his brother, with one fan writing: “I’m not sure young Louis has the stride to bridge that gap yet, which is probably why the video stops there!”
Another one disagreed: “Oh, he would jump it or sure!”
A third one said: “Duh, silly - he'll just fly over it because he is the one and only Prince Louis!”
