Dominic laid out the devastating truth in detail and shared how he is shelving one important project while his home is "falling apart". The metalwork expert "admitted defeat" while working on a Series 1 Land Rover and said that, while he would love to patch up the original rear tub himself, he does not have the time at the moment, and has "taken the easy route" and bought a new part.

Dominic said: "The building I'm in, my workshop, is crumbling around me. The holes in the roof are getting worse and worse every day.

"I've got more puddling clay waiting to go into the pond, which I really want to get sealed up and full.

"And you haven't even seen the inside of the house yet. The house is also falling apart around me. So I have got a huge amount going on here constantly."

The presenter shared that he had been busy filming two TV shows, which are "taking me all over the country", while giving viewers a tour of his ruined workshop.

Viewers quickly took to the comments to support Dominic's decision, as one penned: "Fair play. Pick your battles, mate."

Another advised: "Dom, get your house done first, so much more important than your projects. Two months, and we are into winter, and winters down there are harsh."

A third echoed: "Take one thing at a time and don’t worry about all the things that need to be done. But I would focus on your house before winter comes, if you lose the house, then you would add to the load. Be determined to do one thing at a time. I know how much you love your cars, but what good are they if you don’t have a roof over your head?"

"Don't think many people would argue with that decision. I thought I had too many projects, but watching you makes me feel so much better," added another fan.
