Meghan Markle celebrated her birthday on Tuesday (August 6) and gave fans a glimpse of the celebrations by sharing photos and videos from the special occasion. In one clip, the dressed-down Duchess danced barefoot around her kitchen to Stevie Wonder's Happy Birthday while admiring the bouquet of balloons on her counter. Meghan tied her hair in a bun and wore a paper tiara with the words "Happy Birthday" atop her head, an oversized white T-shirt that read "It's giving wife," and white pyjama bottoms.
With the sound of food sizzling on the cooker, Prince Harry, who was behind the camera, could be heard saying: "Oh dear," before giving viewers a look at the stove. The Duke of Sussex then issued the same two-word remark as Meghan attempted and failed to put a mini party hat on their beagle, Mia. However, fans were quick to point out an issue with Prince Harry's voice and raised their suspicions on social media.
Taking to X/Twitter, one questioned: "The dude recording sounds like someone with a lower voice than Harry trying to fake a English accent. When has Harry ever said 'Oh Dear' so many times???"
They then speculated that it could instead be Meghan's close friend, Markus Anderson, behind the camera and added: "Markus?"
One viewer concurred: "Absolutely agree, that's definitely not Harry. Even if he had a cold, the accent isn't quite right. A very poor attempt at a plummy accent."
Another added: "Tell me it’s AI Nancy! What the hell!!" While one claimed: "It’s Harry trying his Mr Mischief voice."
Meghan also marked her birthday with black-and-white photos on Instagram, including one showing her in a swimsuit and sunglasses, jumping into a pool while holding a bouquet of balloons.
Another picture captured the next moment: she was midair, preparing to submerge in the water, her arms still outstretched, holding the balloons above.
In the caption, Meghan simply wrote: "Thank you for the birthday love!"
Meanwhile, her lifestyle brand, As ever, also got involved in the celebrations, sharing a tribute post with a carousel of images, including a solo snap of Meghan and a throwback photo of the Duchess as a young girl. The upload read: "Happy birthday to our founder, [Meghan]."
